Mulch
We have a variety of mulches, all finely ground to prevent matting which allows the water to penetrate evenly:
Enriched brown
Nitrogen enriched with ground stumps and bark, branches, leaves and other soft organic material. This finely ground, soft organic, triple ground, mix tends to take less nitrogen from the soil and away from your plants. The broken down mulch mixes with the soil, helping the soil to become the rich loamy soil found in the woods. Highly mosture retentive.

Black*
If you are looking for contrast, the black color of this material will give you the look, as it sets off plants nicely. Our black mulch is more moisture retentive than most giving you plants moisture longer than other conventional black mulchs.

Leaf Mulch
A basic chopped leaf mulch suitable for vegetable gardens.
This product is the start of our compost process, a material that has started to break down to become compost. (Leaf mulch may contain items left in fall leaves.) Availability depends on the compost process.

Screened woodchips 
We run our woodchips through a 3/4 screen to give you an even particle size. Used for walks, edging and in play areas. Availability limited.

Soil Blends
Our compost and compost blends meet the state requirements of temperatures maintaining 131 F for at least 15 consecutive days with proper turning and cured for a minimum of 30 days. Temperatures taken to 140 /160 degrees kill weed seeds that are in the material while it is composting. We can mix a soil to meet your needs, from the state retention pond filters to your back yard. Screened compost garden mix
This loamy product is dark in color, rich in organic material and highly water retentive. Often used in raised beds, this product will retain moisture so your plants absorb needed nutriments and shoot right out of the ground. We screen this product with a 1/2 screen allowing tiny chips of stone and wood to be included. This prevents the soil from becoming compacted. Now you will be able to get out weeds with a slight tug rather than chiseling them out of a compacted soil.

Screened compost premium
For all you lawn lovers who don’t like the time it takes to water and don't like the brown lawns of summer, this is the product for you. Fall application of our finely 3/8th screened top dressing is the best time to get your lawn ready for next year’s drought and heat that causes the brown lawns we all like to avoid. The compost is screened with a 3/8 screen , perfect for broadcasting over your lawn. With proper application watering can be almost eliminated.
Garden lovers who want the best for their established beds will like this product. It's fine screening makes it easy to work into the soil of an established bed or can be used strictly for top dressing around established plants. The plants get added benefits of uniform moisture by the absorption of nutriments not available in dry soil.

Top soil blend / Compost blend
You can buy top soil anywhere but not the top quality we have. We blend all our topsoil with compost so you will have the very best. We screen this mix with a 1/2 screen and a 3/8 fine screen so the product is ready to use when you get home. Grass planted in this blend will out grow and establish itself faster than in an unblended top soil. For the veggie growers this blended top soil gives your raised beds the base they need for heavy yields of your favorite crop.
